Suryakumar Yadav in shape receives an offer from New Zealand legend to play for Black Caps

With the Indian team still not calling Suryakumar Yadav, former New Zealand off-roader Scott Styris asked the batsman if he would like to play international cricket for another team.

The New Zealand legend’s comments came on the heels of Suryakumar Yadav’s surprising winning coup for the Mumbai Indians against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday. The fit hitter hit an undefeated 79 of just 43 balls to help the Mumbai Indians chase down 165 with five balls to spare.

He reached the fold when Mumbai was 37-for-1 in the sixth and stayed until the end. As the grounds fell at regular intervals from one end, the Mumbai star stood his ground from his end to show off his finishing skills. He properly ended the game by hitting Mohammed Siraj with a four on the first ball of the last over when the Mumbai Indians needed three of six.

Offer from Scott Styris for Suryakumar Yadav:

Shortly after the game ended, Scott Styris took to Twitter and jokingly asked the batter if he wanted to play for New Zealand. Suryakumar Yadav suffered another heartbreaking slight earlier this week when he was not named to the Indian teams for the Australia tour.

The right-hander has been doing very well on the domestic circuit and in the IPL for the last 2-3 years, but he has yet to win the inaugural call-up of the Indian team. Styris, however, had the opportunity to lure the batter to New Zealand, writing:

“I wonder if Suryakumar Yadav would like to play international cricket, he could move abroad.”
