Turkish authorities have lashed out at French President Emmanuel Macron for a cartoon published in Charlie Hebdo magazine that mocks Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. A top aide to the Turkish president lashed out at French President Macron. ‘French President Macron’s anti-Muslim agenda is paying off! Charlie Hebdo has just published a series of supposed cartoons filled with despicable images supposedly of our president. We condemn this very disgusting effort of this publication to spread its racism and cultural hatred, ‘Fahrettin Altun tweeted about the incident. Turkey is also reportedly considering “legal and diplomatic action” against France. Tensions have risen between the two nations after Emmanuel Macron’s remarks on Islam over the beheading of a teacher in France for showing his class cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in a free speech class. Erdogan had spearheaded the indictment against France and questioned Emmanuel Macron’s ‘state of mind’ over the comments and also called for a boycott of French products.
