about the video
Police arrested two men on Tuesday for allegedly killing a 21-year-old woman in front of her university in Ballabhgarh, Haryana, a murder that sparked protests with students and local residents blocking the road to Sohna. The two men were brought before a court in the Faridabad district and sent to remand for two days. A special investigation team has been formed to ensure a speedy investigation into the case, Haryana Interior Minister Anil Vij said. The defendant, who arrived at the scene in a car, had attempted to carry the woman inside in an attempt to kidnap her, but she resisted, after which the key defendant shot her, police said. They took her to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries, the ACP said. During the investigation, it emerged that the main defendant was the woman’s former classmate, police said. Haryana Minister Vij said the defendant has connections in Congress as pressure on the victim’s family increased to withdraw his complaint in early 2018. Watch the full video for more details.
