NEET 2020: Yogi Adityanath to support top scorer Akanksha Singh’s joint top spot – education

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday congratulated Akanksha Singh, the girl from Kushinagar who scored the highest (720 out of 720) on the 2020 National Eligibility and Income test, the results of which were recently declared.

Adityanath presented a tablet to Akanksha and his brother. In interacting with Akansha and her family, the chief minister said that the state government would bear all the expenses incurred for her medical education fees and shelter fees.

Congratulating Akanksha on her success, Adityanath said that she would write to the National Testing Agency to declare Akanksha as the best player who, despite getting the highest score, took second place as she is younger than the first, who it also got the highest score.

The prime minister also assured that the state government will provide financial support for Akanksha’s education.

The road leading to their village will be named after Akanksha, the daughter of retired air force personnel.

Odisha’s Soyeb Aftab scored 720 out of 720 points to emerge as the best in NEET 2020 exam. UP’s Akanksha Singh also scored 720 points, but scored two in the All India Ranking (AIR) as he is younger than Soyeb.

It was an article on AIIMS, Delhi, and the questionable medical facilities in eastern Uttar Pradesh that pushed her down the path of medicine four years ago.

“I wanted to be an IAS officer until class 8. Then I read about AIIMS and was inspired to help people,” said Akanksha Singh.

The daughter of a former air force sergeant and elementary school teacher, Singh was ranked second in all of India for being the younger of the two perfect scorers. When asked if he expected this score, he said: “I was hoping to get 700 as I was aiming to be in the top 40 (to get to AIIMS). But 720/720 is amazing. “

The aspiring doctor said she continued her preparations online even during the confinement.

“I was stressed because the exams might not take place and I could miss a year. Still, I decided to make the most of the time. So while on normal days I studied for about 10-12 hours, I went up to 13-14 hours a day during the lockdown. I relied on YouTube and the video lessons offered by my training institute to prepare me, ”said Akansha, who was born and raised in Abhinayakpur village in the Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
