The first phase of voting has started in the long-awaited elections in Bihar. And even when all eyes are focused on the long-awaited elections, a viral video of Chirag Paswan has been struggling to gain attention on social media.
LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan, who passed away on October 8, was one of the most influential Dalit leaders in Bihar after Jagjivan Ram. At her funeral the next day, her son and Jamui’s MP Chirag Paswan were filmed rehearsing to record a video message while standing next to Paswan’s portrait.
In the candid video recorded before his head was tonsured as a sign of mourning, Chirag can be seen jokingly, talking about ‘cuts and edits’ in Bollywood parlance, and even hair ‘texture’, while He stood in front of Paswan smiling portrait.
The video was leaked days after Chirag claimed that he held Prime Minister Modi in his heart after being warned not to use Prime Minister Modi’s portraits and images to campaign.
Since then, the 2-minute video has gone viral on social media with many criticizing the 37-year-old Jamui MP for striking a crying pose. SC’s main supporter Prashant Bhushan also shared the video, adding: “Chirag Paswan performs in front of his late father’s portrait. He should try it in Bollywood!”
I don’t know how many seats LJP will get in the next election, but Bollywood has lost a brilliant actor. WHAT A PERFORMANCE CHIRAG PASWAN JI! 👏👏👏 pic.twitter.com/JYVh2RT50O

The video was shared on social media one day before the first phase of the 71-seat voting began in Bihar. In a statement, Chirag has said that he suspects CM Nitish Kumar’s hand in this. Chirag, who withdrew from the NDA in Bihar promising to oust Nitish Kumar from power while paradoxically helping his junior ally BJP in the state to form the next government, reacted with outrage and accused the president of JD (U) of ” lean so low. “
In more recent media interactions, Chirag has tried to focus on questioning Nitish Kumar about the lathi burden on Munger and said that the CM was playing the role of General Dwier in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
