New Delhi: In one of the shocking incidents in the national capital, a man shot dead a person in the Mohan Garden area and took pictures after the gruesome murder.

The incident that took place on October 22, 2020 on the 55-foot road near the Nawada Housing Complex in Uttam Nagar has been recorded on a closed-circuit television camera.

The 17-second video shows the defendant shooting the deceased from point-blank range. He is seen firing two to three bullets, after which he takes out his mobile phone and clicks on the photograph of the body.

According to the Delhi Police, the defendant Pawan Gahlot has been arrested and has confessed that he murdered Vikas Mehta in revenge for the death of his brother.

Police registered an FIR at Mohan Garden Station after an eyewitness statement that Praveen Gahlot (Pawan’s brother) was killed by a person named Vikas Dalal in May 2019 and that Dalal had also died during the shooting. police crusader.

Dalal was a partner of Pradeep Solanki, who had a link to the late Vikas Mehta. Therefore, Pawan Gahlot suspected that Vikas Mehta was involved in the conspiracy to murder his brother. For the same reason, Gahlot wanted revenge on Mehta and assassinated him on October 22.

“Pawan said that before his brother’s death, his brother used to tell him that Mehta could harm him, so he was always suspicious of Mehta’s involvement in his brother’s murder,” Delhi police said.

According to the police, during the course of the investigation, several raids were carried out on the hideouts of the accused. Secret informants were also deployed to track down the defendant’s whereabouts and he was later arrested on the basis of secret information.
