“Generational corruption” is a great challenge for the country and the “corruption dynasty” makes the country empty, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday.

Opening the National Conference on Monitoring and Combating Corruption, Prime Minister Modi said: “Generational corruption is a major challenge that has been growing gradually over the past decades and has taken a formidable form in the country.”

He explained generational corruption as corruption transferred from one generation to another. “When one generation of corrupt people is not properly punished, the second generation commits corruption more vigorously. Because of this, it became part of the political tradition in many states. This corruption and dynasty of corruption from generation to generation makes the country empty, ”Modi said.

He said that this situation is a major obstacle to the development of the country and he wishes that this issue also be discussed at the national conference organized by the IWC. The prime minister highlighted the need for administrative systems to be transparent, accountable and accountable to the public.

‘Unlike in the past, the poor can now easily borrow’

Lucknow: Saying his government managed to “pass” the coronavirus test in “bright colors” as it focused on welfare plans for the poor during the shutdown, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Tuesday that a perception was created in the past of poor people not repaying loans. .

Speaking during a video interaction with UP street vendors who benefited from loans worth Rs 10,000 each under the PM SVANidhi scheme, the PM said: “The poor have shown … that they are repaying their loans.” He said the successful implementation of the scheme is a response to those who said that getting the poor to join the banking system will not help anyone.
