NEW DELHI: One day after two young men allegedly shot and killed a 21-year-old student outside Aggarwal College in Ballabhgarh, Faridabad on Monday, CCTV footage of the brutal murder has come to light.

The chilling images show that one of the two defendants, after a verbal duel, tries to pull the girl into his vehicle parked near the university gate in order to kidnap her but as she resists, one of them pulls out a revolver and shoots him. dead in cold blood.
The shocking incident took place around 3.30pm Monday when the victim who was identified as Nikita Tomar, a B.Com senior at the university, walked out after appearing on the exam.
The defendant, however, managed to flee after the murder. Subsequently, a forensic science team collected evidence from the scene. The victim, a resident of SGM Nagar, was rushed to a nearby hospital where the hospital doctors pronounced her dead.
Sharing more details, Jaiveer Rathi, ACP, Ballabgarh said: “One of the defendants identified as Taufeeq, a native of Sohna, was known to the victim and the victim’s relatives had filed a complaint against him a few months ago for sexual harassment and abuse. but a compromise had been reached. “
Haryana police launched a manhunt shortly after the incident and arrested Taufeeq, one of the two defendants within hours of the crime. According to the police, the girl’s rejection of friendship could be the reason for her murder.
Taufeeq, who shot the girl dead, was trying to hide in Noah, but the Crime Bureau searched the CCTVs installed up to Palwal and Mewat and arrested him in just five hours.
Police Commissioner OP Singh said that those behind the brutal killing will be severely punished.
Meanwhile, the girl’s family, relatives and friends from the university are holding a protest in the area demanding severe punishment for the two defendants. “He (Taufeeq) tried to force her to sit in his car, but she refused and then shot him,” the victim’s father said.
The killing in broad daylight also mocks the BJP government’s “Beti Bachao” campaign and raises concerns about the safety of women in the country.
