Rohit Sharma’s exclusion from India’s Test, ODI and T20I squads for the Australia tour came as a huge surprise to many fans, who were eager to see their favorite star in action again for the national team. In announcing the team, BCCI’s senior national selection committee said its medical team will continue to monitor Rohit’s progress, along with veteran pacemaker Ishant Sharma, who was ruled out of the IPL with a rib injury. Rohit has missed the Mumbai Indians last two league games at the current IPL 2020 with a hamstring injury.
Amid concerns about the injuries, the franchise took to Instagram to share some photos of Rohit Sharma doing her business online. The images show Rohit charging across the ground and hitting the ball with great power. “Just what we love to see! Hitman in action in training today,” the post titled the Mumbai Indians.
Rohit, who was minding his own business before the Mumbai Indians’ next league game, left fans confused because they couldn’t understand the reason behind his omission from the national team. Some fans also pointed out that if Rohit’s injury is really that bad, why hasn’t he been ruled out of the IPL?
Here’s how fans reacted on Twitter:
What’s going on, why isn’t Hitman on the Indian team if he’s well prepared to play? He’s not even ruled out for IPL, without him it’s going to be too difficult for our team, his record against the Australians speaks for him.

In Rohit’s absence, Kieron Pollard took over the leadership roles and managed to win one of two games. The Mumbai Indians suffered an eight-wicket loss to the Rajasthan Royals, courtesy of a sublime century of English all-rounder Ben Stokes, who scored 107, not just 60 balls.
