Archer and Bumrah have been in excellent shape for their respective franchises, with 17 wickets under their belt from 12 and 11 starts respectively. Archer once again impressed when he collected two wickets, conceding 31 runs in his four-more spell against Mumbai. He represented the Mumbai Indians starter wickets in the form of Quinton de Kock (6) and Saurabh Tiwary (34).
Archer’s impressive economy of 6.71 also took him to second in the race for ‘Purple Cap’, behind Delhi Capitals’ Kagiso Rabada, who has 23 wickets in just 11 games.
Bumrah, on the other hand, didn’t have a night to remember as he ran out of wickets and leaked 38 runs in his quota of four overs.

Like Bumrah, other bowlers for the Mumbai Indians also failed to provide their side with advancement in the half overs, allowing the Rajasthan Royals to chase a whopping 196 runs with ease, with 10 balls to spare.
Ben Stokes (107 balls of 60 *) and Sanju Samson (54 * of 31) posted 152 runs unbeaten, helping their team record a convincing eight-wicket victory over the defending champions.
