- New details of the rumored Samsung Galaxy S30 Ultra have been leaked.
- The phone is said to recycle a number of features from the S20 Ultra.
- However, it may feature a slightly smaller body than its predecessor.
The details of the largest member of the Samsung Galaxy S30 series have been broken, but those hoping for ultra-novel innovations may be disappointed. According to insider Ishan Agarwal and 91Mobiles, it is likely that the Galaxy S30 Ultra can recycle a number of specifications and features from the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
The report reiterates the details of the S30 Ultra that we have seen in previous leaks. This includes the 5,000mAh battery, 108MP primary rear snapper, and the 40MP retainable selfie sensor from the S20 Ultra. Previous versions suggest that the S30 series can stick with a center-hole selfie design.
The dimensions may not change much either. The Galaxy S30 Ultra measures 165.1mm x 75.6mm x 8.9mm, with a 1.9mm deep camera hump, according to the report. It’s not much smaller than the 166.9mm x 76mm x 8.8mm on the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
Galaxy S30 Ultra Specifications: The Same, But Different?
However, not everything is a copy and paste job. We’ve seen alleged renders of the Galaxy S30 Ultra and its two family members earlier this month, so we’re expecting a redesigned camera suite. The Ultra is also said to have a 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED display, a slight shrink from the 6.9-inch S20 Ultra.
Furthermore, we can expect that the Snapdragon 875 will command the S30 series in the United States, and the rumored Exynos 2100 will be used almost everywhere else. Considering that Samsung generally chooses the latest and greatest Snapdragon chipset for its flagships, this addition seems highly likely. The Exynos 2100, although not officially announced, has been mentioned in previous leaks.
Finally, the S30 Ultra will also run One UI 3.0 based on Android 11, according to the report. However, we probably don’t need confirmation of this. Samsung will surely launch the flagship in the latest version of its Android skin.
As an initial report, it does not mention some details. There’s no word on the S30 Ultra’s add-on snappers, its RAM or storage configurations, or its charging solution.
Perhaps it is too early to suggest that the S30 Ultra will be Be an S20 Ultra in a new coat. But considering its rumored previous launch window, we wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung was repeating some features of the outgoing models.
