At a Dusshera event held on a field near the DAV school in Batala, the effigy instantly caught fire and exploded, almost resulting in a stampede as onlookers fled in fear.

In the video, a group of people walked towards the effigy to set it on fire. And soon, the firecrackers within the effigy go off in rapid succession. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, according to local reports.

In Vijayadashami, representations of Ramlila are organized, especially in the northern part of the country, during which effigies of Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhakaran are burned, to represent the victory of good over evil.
