NEW DELHI: Top Army Commanders to Conduct Comprehensive Assessment of India’s Combat Readiness in the East Ladakh as well as other sensitive areas along the Line of Royal Control with China in a four-day conference starting Monday, government sources said.
The commanders will also deliberate on a number of long-pending reform measures, such as reducing ceremonial practices and non-military activities to ensure a rational distribution of resources, they said.

Army Chief of Staff Gen MM Naravane He will chair the Conference of Army Commanders (ACC), which is a biannual top-level event that makes important policy decisions through a collegiate system of deliberation.

It will have the presence of all Army Commanders, General Staff Officers (PSO) from Army headquarters and other superior officers.

The sources said that the agenda for the last day of the conference will include a briefing by the Director General of Border Roads on the various infrastructure development projects being carried out by the Organization of border roads (BRO) and allied formations.
