China, America’s ‘Number One National Security Threat’: Nikki Haley

China is America’s “absolute number one” national security threat, Republican Indian-American politician Nikki Haley said on Saturday, adding that US President Donald Trump has ensured that Beijing does not steal American intellectual property.

Speaking during a fireside chat event hosted by Indian Voices for Trump in the battlefield state of Philadelphia, Haley, a former US ambassador to the UN, said that President Trump has “warned China.”

“China is our absolute number one threat right now, a huge threat to national security. With the trade deal that the president made, he not only got a better trade deal for us, but he put China on notice on intellectual property, ”the 48-year-old said.

“He has made sure they know that they cannot turn around and steal the intellectual property. They cannot go spy on our universities and we are going to hold them accountable as we move forward, “he added.

Haley, governor of South Carolina for two terms, was the first American Indian with cabinet rank in any presidential administration. He is now campaigning for Trump before the US election.

Relations between the United States and China have deteriorated rapidly in recent months due to a variety of problems, including the origin of Covid-19, Indo-Pacific, Hong Kong, and trade disagreements.

During the event, Haley also attacked Democratic presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden and accused the administration of former US President Barack Obama of sponsoring terrorism.

“The last administration, under Biden, Obama literally delivered planes full of cash to the biggest sponsor of terror. And they took that cash and funneled it and spread terrorism in Yemen, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. And all these places. The president withdrew from the Iran deal so they have the money to spend, ”he said.

The face-to-face elections in the United States will be held on Tuesday, November 3.
