As the last week before US Election Day approaches, Reuters reported that Donald Trump will vote in Florida, his “adopted” home, where he spends a considerable amount of time. According to the report, approximately 53 million Americans have cast their early votes at a record pace for the Nov. 3 election, perhaps the highest voter turnout in a century.

Last year, Trump changed his permanent residence and voter registration last year from New York state to Florida and will vote in West Palm Beach, near his Mar-a-Lago property. Read the report here.

The US Capitol and the White House are already preparing for the January 20 ceremony to usher in the new US president, whoever he may be, the Associated Press reported. There are visible safety signs near these iconic buildings and around Washington DC and the inaugural platform on which the president, vice president and at least 1,600 other people sit, is already settling on the west front of the Capitol.

However, questions are being asked about how to accommodate the opening ceremony in light of the crowds and the coronavirus outbreak. read the history here.

A lesser-known government agency that Trump had created in 2018 within the Department of Homeland Security issued a “warning on” the bad guys, whoever they are, “trying to” wreak havoc, cast doubt “on the integrity of the US elections.” The Associated Press reported This comes after Trump claimed that “this election would be” the most corrupt “in the history of the United States.”

According to the Associated Press, this statement by Christopher Krebs, director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, is notable because it runs counter to Trump’s own messages, given that he had created this organization in the first place. Read the AP story here.

Trump has not only changed the socio-political system in the United States, but he has also changed the world, writes the BBC. While closed borders and climate change are big issues, the report also includes a survey that shows how, among world leaders, Trump is among the least trustworthy, even less so than China’s Xi Jingping.
