“The Rajouri government medical school and Kathua government medical school have already obtained permission for the second lot with 115 and 100 seats respectively, so the total of MBBS seats at J&K has now been improved from 500 (2018-19 ) to 1100 (2020-21) seats during the current 2020-21 academic session, ”the official J&K government spokesperson said in a statement.

He said makeshift arrangements have been made in the Doda government medical school to accommodate professors, theaters, laboratories, dissection room, library, museum, faculty rooms, administrative block, etc. year.

“The main buildings of all the new government medical colleges are in various stages of completion and are expected to be ready for use in the coming months. 1100 MBBS seats are available in the medical colleges of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for MBBS course applicants, which is a great achievement of the UT government, ”said the spokesperson.

The government said that 50% of these seats will be available to female applicants in accordance with UT’s MBBS admissions policy.
