2020 DU admissions: more than 82% of seats occupied, third cut list expected for today – education

More than 82 percent of the seats at the University of Delhi have been filled after the conclusion of admissions on the second court list, authorities said on Friday. The university is expected to announce the third cutlist on Saturday.

“While 35,500 seats were filled under the first cut list, 22,147 seats were filled under the second cut list. There are a total of 70,000 vacancies in undergraduate courses on the varsity team, ”said a senior official.

The University of Delhi published its second cut-off list last Saturday with admissions to many courses being closed and some programs saw a minor decrease in the score required for admission.

The Lady Shri Ram College for Women had set a score of 100% in three courses: BA (honors) in Psychology, BA (honors) in Political Science, and BA (honors) in Economics.

Seats were available in all three courses and applicants required a 99 percent BA (Honors) in Economics and 99.75 percent for BA (Honors) Psychology and BA (Honors) Political Science.

Similarly, BA (honors) Journalism, which was available capped at 99.50 percent on LSR, is available at 99.25 percent on the second list.

The first cut list was released on October 10. Almost 50 percent of the seats have been filled on the first list. The varsity team has 70,000 undergraduate seats.

Admissions under the second list will begin Monday at 10 am onwards and end on October 21. This year, the admissions process is taking place completely online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
