The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) who are investigating different angles in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput never leaked any information “at any time”, Additional Attorney General Anil Singh briefed the Bombay High Court while listening to a public interest lawsuit brought against the media trial for reporting on the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh. He was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14.
The petition about the television channel’s coverage of the death of Sushant Singh Rajput was submitted by a group of retired police officers who had claimed that confidential information was being broadcast.

The petitioners questioned the source of this information, asking whether the investigating agencies were leaking these sensitive details. The agencies, in their affidavits, said they are aware of their responsibilities. “We know our responsibilities and it is not about leaking information by any of the agencies,” added the ASG.
While the CBI is investigating the circumstances that led to the Bollywood actor’s death, the NCB is investigating a drug angle and the Emergency Department is investigating money laundering charges against Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty. Investigations continue.
A bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Judge GS Kulkarni was listening to final arguments on public interest litigation seeking to ask the media to limit their coverage of the investigation into the actor’s death.
“The media was neutral then (in the past). Now it is very polarized … This is not a question of regulation, it is a question of checks and balances. People forget where to draw the lines. Do it within the lines, ”said the judges who heard the case. The hearing will continue next week.
