‘Air quality is disgusting’: how Indians reacted to Trump’s comment during the presidential debate

In the final presidential debate before the November 3 election, President Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Joe Biden touched on various topics, but many Indians reacted on social media to a comment on India’s air quality.

During the debate, Trump criticized the issue of air quality in India, calling it “disgusting.” He was defending his government’s decision to exit the Paris Agreement to cut emissions.

“Look at China, how disgusting it is. Look at Russia. Look at India. The air is dirty. I got out of the Paris Agreement because we had to get billions of dollars and they treated us very unfairly, “he said.

In response to Trump’s comment, Biden said that climate change was a “threat to humanity” and that we have a “moral obligation to deal with it.”
