BHOPAL: a 16-year-old girl supposedly hit her father to death in Bhopal Wednesday night because he used to get drunk and abuse Y assault his mother.
The teenager beat her 45-year-old father with a bat used for washing clothes and a lohangi (a traditional stick with iron rings), killing him on the spot. Then he dialed 100 and surrendered to policeman.
Berasia subdivision police officer KK Verma said the man was unemployed and living on the earnings of his eldest son, who works as a bricklayer.
The family was at the end of their ties due to their drunkenness and violenceespecially towards his wife. At around 6.30pm on Wednesday, the family was discussing the eldest son’s marriage when the father fought again. Furious, the 16-year-old grabbed a wash bat and began hitting him on the head. He began to bleed profusely, but the girl took a lohangi and kept hitting him.
After his death, he called the police on Dial-100 and informed them that he had killed his father and was waiting arrested. The police registered a case and sent the girl to a youth coat.
