Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the people of West Bengal on Thursday to mark the start of Durga Puja, the state’s largest festival.
Prime Minister Modi’s speech, which he delivered virtually, took place on Durga Shasthi or the sixth day of the current nine-day Navratri festival.
Last night, the prime minister tweeted: “Durga Puja is an auspicious occasion, celebrating the victory of good over evil. We pray to Maa Durga to bless us with strength, happiness and good health.
“Sisters and brothers from West Bengal, tomorrow, on the auspicious Mahashashti day of Maa Durga Pujo, I will join the Divine celebrations via videoconference and also extend my greetings to everyone. Join the live show, ”he had posted in a subsequent tweet.
