All Terrorists Are Raised In Madrasas, Madhya Pradesh Minister Usha Thakur Says In Sparks | Madhya Pradesh News

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh government minister Usha Thakur has said that all terrorists rise up in madrasas and has called for the disruption of government funding for madrasas.

All terrorists are raised in madrasas, they had turned J&K into a factory of terror. Madrasas that cannot comply with nationalism, must merge with the existing educational system to ensure the full progress of society:

Speaking in Indore, the minister said that all radicals and terrorists have studied in these madrasas.

“They had turned J&K into a factory of terror. Madrasas that cannot comply with nationalism must merge with the existing educational system to ensure the full progress of society, ”Usha Thakur was quoted as saying by the ANI news agency.

She told the meeting: “If you are a citizen of this country, you can see that all the radicals and terrorists have studied at Madrasas.”

Thakur added that those madrasas that do not link children to nationalism should be incorporated into general education for the “collective progress of society.”

The BJP lawmaker cited Assam’s recent announcement to close madrasas to support his statement.

On October 9, Assam’s Minister of Education and Finance Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the government will close all Sanskrit state madrasas and tols (schools) as it cannot allow the teaching of religious education with public money. The minister had said that the government will issue a formal notification on the matter in November.

When asked specifically if he was calling for the closure of the madrasas or the disruption of government funding, Thakur clarified that he was advocating for the latter. The BJP lawmaker had also stirred controversy previously. On September 19, he referred to Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti, a tribal group, as “anti-national,” according to PTI.

In May 2019, Thakur reportedly called Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse a “nationalist”.
