VIJAYAPURA: BJP MLA Basangoud Patil Yatnal, who is known for making controversial statements, has now surprised party leaders by stating that CM BS Yediyurappa it’s not going to be CM for long as the Prime Minister has decided to make a BJP leader come from North karnataka like the next CM.
In a video, Yatnal made this statement while on his way to a function at a temple on Monday night. The video has now gone viral on the social media platform.
Yatnal also said that the party’s high command is fed up with CM BS Yediyurappa and that the state will see a new CM soon. “Yediyurappa is functioning as a Shivamogga district CM alone.”
Former BJP minister and leader Umesh Katti has also said the same recently. Although north Karnataka people would elect around 100 BJP MLAs at the polls, we are forced to bow to the leaders of other regions.
“The party’s high command has recognized this situation and Modi has almost finalized a name from the region for the CM post,” he explained.
When former corporate Umesh Vandal mentioned that the government had withdrawn Rs 125 crore, sanctioned for the Vijayapura district, Yatnal said that it will somehow return it to Vijayapura in the near future.
Yatnal, who has been a BJP firebrand leader in North Karnataka, was once recognized as a close supporter of Yediyurappa. Since he was not included in the cabinet, he was allegedly annoyed with BSY and has been criticizing him in recent days. Yatnal reportedly believes himself to be the next CM of the state.
When contacted, Yatnal remained unanswered to calls and did not respond to the text message.
