Following the lead of Prime Minister Modi’s call for his compatriots to join him at 6 o’clock later tonight when he addresses the nation, Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan urged all of his party’s candidates to tune in.
“Prime Minister Modi will share important information with compatriots today. The people are called upon to listen to this speech in the national interest. In Bihar, I appeal to all LJP candidates to listen to the speech together with the people in their area. Also maintain social distancing in view of the coronavirus, ”Chirag Paswan tweeted.
In the early afternoon, the prime minister, without specifying the nature of the issue, tweeted that he will “share a message” with his fellow citizens and urged them to join.
Chirag Paswan, who decided to go alone in the Bihar polls, has not shied away from praising the prime minister, so much so that he identified himself as “Hanuman” to Prime Minister Modi’s Ram.
“The Prime Minister lives in my heart … I am like his Hanuman. If they (his critics) want to, they can open my heart and see it. I don’t need to use the prime minister’s photograph, ”Paswan had said after he was called a” vote divider “and accused of trying to create confusion by insisting on his equations with the top leaders of the ruling party in the Center.
The Jamui MP has said that his party will support the BJP, but not the Janata Dal (United) led by Nitish Kumar in the next assembly elections in Bihar. In addition, he stressed that his party is “committed” to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, even when he criticized JD (U).
The BJP, for its part, has maintained its distance from the LJP, clarifying that the State party is not part of its alliance.
“The BJP is very clear on their booth. LJP is not part of our alliance. We want to tell Chirag Paswan that he must not harbor any illusions. BJP-JD (U) is fighting in the elections and Nitish Kumar ji will be the prime minister, ”said Bhupender Yadav, head of Bihar BJP on Saturday.
