Even as the BJP is trying to show a united front with its ally Nitish Kumar in Bihar to fight the impression that it is using LJP to ruin the chances of JD (U), the head of LJP, Chirag Paswan, and the nominee of Grand Alliance CM, Tejashwi Yadav, continue to refrain from attacking each other.
In fact, Tejashwi has expressed its solidarity with Chirag, who recently lost his father Ram Vilas Pawan. Speaking to reporters during the campaign, Tejashwi said Monday: “It is Chirag Paswan who would need his father most now. We are all sad that Ram Vilas Paswan is not among us. The way Nitish Kumar treated Chirag is an injustice to him. “

It is worth remembering that among Bihar’s top leaders, only Tejashwi approached Chirag after the mortal remains of Ram Vilas Paswan arrived at the Patna airport.
Chirag Paswan, for his part, has refrained from attacking Tejashwi. He had said The Indian Express in a recent interview that “Tejashwi has been doing his job as leader of the Opposition and it is CM Nitish Kumar who should be the target.”
As a new political stance begins, BJP looks in damage control mode on the broad impression that LJP is playing like their B-team. With Chirag Paswan no objection BJP’s statements against him to keep Nitish in a good mood, the impression of quiet camaraderie between LJP and BJP is growing.
Top BJP leaders, including Union Interior Minister Amit Shah, BJP National Chairman JP Nadda and Bihar BJP Head Bhupendra Yadav, have reiterated that Nitish Kumar was CM’s choice of the NDA regardless of which party gets the most seats.
The BJP followed this with a joint rally by CM Nitish Kumar and MP CM Sushil Kumar Modi. On Monday, the NDA leaders held a joint meeting in Darbhanga after presenting the nomination of their candidates. A senior leader from JD (U) said: “This is a sign of better integration between JD (U) and BJP. It will be followed by a PM-CM rally from October 23. The message of solidarity is complete now. There is no confusion. “
