Lucknow: Amid the arrest of the main defendant and main BJP MLA aide Dhirendra Pratap Singh in the Ballia murder case, BJP MLA Surendra Singh has been caught on a candid camera threatening and pressuring a senior police officer registering FIR crusaders in the case.
Who this top cop is yet to be confirmed, but the threatening tactics of the BJP MLA have been caught on camera.
“Even if I have to die, I will make sure the FIR is registered. I will sit in a dharna. When I went for my medical check-up at Ballia hospital today, thousands of people gathered outside after they found out about my presence. So you can imagine what will happen in Ballia on the day I sit in dharna, ”Surendra Singh was seen speaking on the phone with a government official.
He added: “I don’t care about my life because I am a person dedicated to the truth, do you understand Commissioner?”
“I will leave politics as well. Both sides fought, you have presented FIR against a section that is good. Whoever the defendant is must be punished, must receive strict punishment but (inaudible) must also receive punishment. I am requesting and appealing that all of you should also surreptitiously search the FIR on our side … after the police can punish anyone found guilty. “
Three days after allegedly killing a man during an altercation in Ballia of Uttar Pradesh, the defendant Dhirendra Pratap Singh was finally arrested by the Lucknow UP Police Special Task Force (STF) on Sunday. He was arrested a day after submitting a request to the police expressing his intention to surrender after being on the run for almost three days.
