NEET 2020 Results: The highest number of students qualifying for the NEET medical entrance exam this year are from Uttar Pradesh, followed by Maharashtra, according to statistics available with the National Testing Agency (NTA).
More than 7.7 lakh of the more than 13.66 lakh of candidates have qualified the exam that is used for admission to MBBS courses across the country.
“The maximum number of candidates who passed the NEET exam this year are from Uttar Pradesh with 88,889, while Maharashtra is in second place with 79,974 candidates who qualify for the exam,” said an official.
Rajasthan is in third place in terms of the number of candidates who qualify for the NEET exam with 65,758 successful candidates, followed by Kerala (59,404) and Karnataka (55,009). A total of 23,554 candidates have passed the Delhi exam, while 22,395 successful candidates are from Haryana.
The result of the National Cum Income Eligibility Test (NEET) was declared on Friday. According to initial statistics, Tripura was listed as the state with the highest number of candidates. However, the National Testing Agency had later rectified the data as “human error”.

The NEET was held on September 13 amid strict precautions in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Starting this year, admissions to the MBBS course at 13 All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry, will also be done through NEET following the amendment in the National Medical Commission Act of 2019, approved by Parliament for the last time. year.
The test was offered in 11 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Hate, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu, this year. According to the initial report, more than 77% of applicants took the test in English, about 12% in Hindi, and 11% in other languages.
The exam was previously postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the government decided to go ahead, despite opposition from one section, to mitigate any further academic losses.
