“As the Hindu festival of Navratri begins, Jill and I send our best wishes to all who celebrate in the US and around the world. May good once again triumph over evil and usher in new beginnings and opportunities for all, “Biden said in a tweet Saturday.

Biden, 77, is challenging President Donald Trump, a Republican, who is seeking another term in the November 3 presidential election. Senator Harris, who wrote the history of American politics by becoming the first Native American and black woman to win a major party vice presidential nomination, also extended her greetings at Navratri.
“@DouglasEmhoff and I wish our Hindu American friends and family, and all who celebrate, a very happy Navratri. May this holiday inspire all of us to uplift our communities and build a more inclusive and just America, 55- Senator Harris, age one, tweeted.

Both Biden and Harris have been sending greetings on Twitter to the Hindu community, one of the critical voting blocks in this year’s election. In August, they greeted the Hindu community in the United States on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. There are an estimated four million American Indian population of which about 2.5 million are potential voters in the November 2020 presidential election. More than 1.3 million Native Americans are voters in key states on the battlefield, including Texas, Michigan, Florida, and Pennsylvania.
Members of the Democratic Party last month released a remix of a music video for the popular song “Chale Chalo” from the Bollywood hit movie “Lagaan” to woo Indian-American voters.
