Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by five wickets in match 34 of the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Saturday. Starter Shikhar Dhawan was the hero of the night who completed his first century in the IPL with 57 deliveries, staying undefeated until the end to see his side cross the line. However, Dhawan received extremely valuable support from the off-roader Axar Patel, who broke 21 runs in five deliveries, including three sixes in the final against Ravindra Jadeja. The chase of 180 might well have proved extremely difficult, if not for the duo’s sublime gameplay. Previously, the Chennai-based franchise recorded a total of 179 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs, with South Africa batter Faf du Plessis finishing as the leading run scorer.
