Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty’s son, Mahaakshay, was arrested Thursday for allegedly repeatedly raping an actress for more than three years and forcing her to undergo an abortion. Chakraborty’s wife, Yogita Bali, is also mentioned in the FIR.
In her complaint to the police, the woman alleged that in May 2015, Mahaakshay had called her at her residence where he offered her a spiked soda. She then said that the actor’s son raped her after she passed out.

However, Mahaakshay married actress Madalasa Sarma in 2018. Meanwhile, the woman claimed that she was forced to abort her child.
Subsequently, the woman moved to the national capital and filed a complaint in court. However, the court ruled that the investigation should be carried out by the Mumbai police, as the alleged crime had taken place within the jurisdiction of the latter.
