Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav began his campaign for Bihar’s upcoming assembly elections on Friday by calling Prime Minister Nitish Kumar “tired”. Yadav will address the rallies in Kahalgaon, Bhabua, Kaimur and six other locations on Friday as his party aims to upset the BJP-JD (U) coalition in Bihar’s upcoming assembly elections.
“Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is tired and cannot handle the state. He does not want to talk about development, unemployment, education, health infrastructure and poverty. It says that Bihar is a landlocked state, so industries cannot be established, which does not create job creation, ”Tejashwi Yadav was quoted as saying by the ANI news agency.
The RJD will fight the Bihar assembly polls on the promise of creating job opportunities for the state’s youth and increasing incomes for people associated with the agricultural sector. Tejashwi faces off against Satish Kumar of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Raghopur assembly constituency in Vaishali district.
While presenting his nomination for the Raghopur constituency on Wednesday, Tejashwi had issued a challenge to his former boss Nitish Kumar. “I challenge CM Kumar to compete from Nalanda from any seat he wants and I will fight him. He laughs at my promises in the survey to provide 10 lakhs of jobs. But I want to tell him that I am a theth Bihari (pure Bihari) who keeps his commitment at all costs, ”the former chief deputy minister had said.
Bihar will vote in three phases, the first on October 28. The second and third phase of voting will take place on November 3 and 7. Results will be declared on November 10.
