National eligibility test cum entry, NEET 2020 result will be released today, October 16, 2020. The National Testing Agency or the NTA have not announced the time of the result. Once announced, candidates who have appeared for the exam on September 13 and then on October 14 – NEET Phase 2 will be able to check their results, ranking and scorecard on the official website ntaneet.nic.in. A small video showing the steps on how to check the results is also provided above for quick reference. The time of the declaration of the result is unknown. In 2019, the NEET result was announced at 4pm at night. NTA would share the whole India rank and category rank along with the NEET result. The respective competent authorities will announce the lists of state merits at a later date.

NEET 2020 result: Steps and link to check the results

  1. Go to the official website ntaneet.nic.in
  2. On the home page, the link for the NEET 2020 result will be activated; click on the link. [Once announced, the direct NEET Result Link would also be provided on this page]
  3. A new window will open: enter the requested details, such as registration number and password, and submit.
  4. Your NEET 2020 result would be available on the screen.
  5. Students are advised to keep a copy of the saved result. Additionally, the copy of the NEET admission card would also be required at the time of admission.

NTA is only responsible for announcing the results. Regarding the admission formalities, the Medical Advisory Committee (MCC) would conduct the online advising for the MBBS and BDS quota of all India. This year, admission to the AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS programs would also be based on the NEET 2020 Score.

About NEET 2020

NEET or National Eligibility cum Inrance Test is a national level exam for admission to undergraduate medical and dental programs in India. The NEET score is used for admission to government, assisted medical schools and self-funded or private in the country.

The National Testing Agency, NTA conducts the exam each year in May. The exam is a paper-and-pencil test conducted in 11 languages, including English, Hindi, Urdu, and eight regional languages. This year, however, the exam was postponed due to COVID19 and took place on September 13. NTA has also conducted a NEET Phase 2 exam on October 14, 2020 for students who were unable to sit for the September 13 exam due to the pandemic.
