BENGALURU: Bengaluru’s galloping Covid numbers are giving the government sleepless nights. After handing over the Ministry of Health to Dr. K Sudhakar, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa is preparing to take more drastic measures to deal with the crisis. He has called a meeting of the city’s 28 MLAs, the BBMP commissioner, officials, the senior secretary, and additional senior secretaries on Wednesday afternoon, to review the overall management of Covid.
Bengaluru urban district has been consistently publishing a large number of cases, often exceeding 5,000 in a single day. The CM has raised concerns about Bengaluru in previous meetings and divided the city into eight zones to help manage the pandemic.
Reports of corruption and mismanagement have also plagued the system. To this, Sudhakar said: “The government will not tolerate attempts to exploit people. I ask the people and the media to report these incidents to the government. ”
