Star soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive for the coronavirus, the Portuguese soccer federation said on Tuesday.

Ronaldo played in the 0-0 draw against France in the Nations League on Sunday, and also in the 0-0 draw against Spain in a friendly last week.
Ronaldo was eliminated from the country’s Nations League game against Sweden on Wednesday.
The federation said Ronaldo’s result triggered another round of testing for the rest of the Portugal team. He said all the other team members tested negative.
The team was scheduled to train normally on Tuesday before the game against Sweden in Lisbon.
Portugal and France lead Group 3 with seven points each after three games.
