KKR is not happy that Sunil Narine is reported for suspicious action


Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have expressed surprise at the denunciation of their rotating spearhead Sunil Narine for suspicious action by party officials last week.

The West Indies star’s bowling action was again reported at the end of KKR’s thrilling two-run win over the Kings XI Punjab in their 2020 IPL match in Abu Dhabi on October 10. Before that, Sunil Narine had starred on the ball, throwing Overs 18 and 20 to propel KKR to an impressive victory.

The statement also added that Sunil Narine would be placed “on the warning list,” but would be allowed to bowl unless there was another report against him. If your action is reported again, you will be “suspended from bowling” at the tournament until approved by the BCCI committee that deals with suspicious bowling actions.

KKR Statement:

KKR issued a statement on Monday, expressing surprise at the development. The two-time IPL winners noted that roulette has played 68 games since it was last reported at IPL 2015. KKR also noted that they are surprised that their roulette action has been reported in the sixth game of the competition. .

“This was a surprise to the franchise and to Mr. Narine, considering that he has played over 115 games in the IPL since 2012 and up to 68 games since 2015, when he was last reported during the IPL season for an action. suspicious before being subsequently fully approved by SRASSC, an ICC accredited facility, ” read the KKR statement.

At the same time, KKR stated that they respect IPL’s decision and are working with the authorities on the matter.

“With that being said, we respect the process that the IPL has put in place for their action to be reviewed, and we are working closely with the IPL on this matter. We are hopeful that there will be a suitable resolution quickly. We appreciate the cooperation that IPL is providing to expedite this matter. “
