Actor Riteish Deshmukh supported Rhea Chakraborty when she filed a complaint with the Central Bureau of Investigation to take action against her neighbor for giving a misleading statement in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. The case is being investigated by the CBI. The neighbor had claimed that Sushant had dropped off Chakraborty at her home on June 13.

Rhea had received support for many people in the film industry after she was sent to jail in a drug case related to Sushant’s death. Rhea was released on bail last week after spending a month in Byculla jail. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai flat on June 14.
“I say that the CBI interrogated me for more than 5 days in relation to the death of Sushant Singh Ra’put. During the investigation, various media channels collected false and untrue stories without any material to support these patently false and fabricated claims for their own purposes, ”Rhea said in her complaint.
She said in her complaint that her neighbor Dimple Thawani “made blatantly false and untrue allegations” knowing they were false, “to mislead the investigation.” “The accusation was that the late Sushant Singh Rajput had left me at my residence in his car on June 13, 2020, which is completely false. I say that such conduct constitutes a prima facie case punishable under Sections 203 and 211 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and / or an attempt to commit a crime under Sections 203 and 211 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, one of which is punishable by imprisonment of a minimum of 7 years. These crimes are serious and the complaints were made on the República television channel without any basis, “he added.

CBI has said that it is investigating all aspects of the Sushant Singh Rajput case, even as the medical board of the Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) set up to investigate the case has “ruled out the murder.” Initially, the Mumbai police were investigating the case. However, on the complaint of Rajput’s father, the Bihar police had registered a case of complicity in suicide, criminal conspiracy, cheating, robbery, restraint and improper confinement and named Chakraborty and his family as defendants.
