“@MSEDCL There is no restoration of power supply until 7.30pm at Everest World, Kolshet Road, Dhokali, Thane West,” Atish Maheshwari said.

Responding to the Tweet from Energy Minister Nitin Raut, a Twitterati Natasha Agarwal said: “What do you mean shortly? No power for almost 10 hours in Thane!”

Ravikant Bhat said that parts of Thane West (Louiswadi area) are still in darkness, adding: “Do not remember a continuous 7-hour outage at Thane, at least in the last 15 years.”

In a message sent to consumers, the MSEDCL said they were working to restore supply.

Maharashtra’s chief minister, Uddhav Thackeray, has also taken the issue very seriously.
