New Delhi: Mumbai is paralyzed after a grid failure caused a widespread blackout on Monday. Juhu, Andheri, Mira Road, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Panvel are the areas most affected by the power outage.
Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST), which is responsible for supplying power to Mumbai, has confirmed the development. “Due to a grid failure, the power supply in the city is interrupted,” said a BEST spokesperson.
Twitter is awash with reactions from Mumbaikars, who tweeted about the power outage. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan and Anupam Kher also reacted to the massive blackout.
