Rafael Nadal destroyed Novak Djokovic 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 to win his 13th French Open on Sunday. With this victory, he also equaled Roger Federer with 20 Grand Slam titles. World number one Djokovic fell behind with 17 Grand Slam titles.

In what was his 56th encounter, Djokovic was completely outclassed by the Spaniard and when the ‘King of Clay’ finished him off with an ace, it meant that surprisingly, he did not yield a set at the 2020 French Open.

“The love story I have with this city, and with this court, is unforgettable,” Nadal said in the post-match presentation.

Notably, Nadal’s victory was also the 100th victory of his career at Roland Garros. The Spaniard now boasts a 100-2 win-loss record in the tournament.
