NEET 2020 result: NTA is likely to announce NEET UG results tomorrow

New Delhi:

NEET 2020 results are expected to be announced tomorrow, October 12, by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Students can check the results of the NTA NEET 2020 exam on the official website of the administering body: ntaneet.ac.in. More than 13 lakh of aspiring doctors took NEET 2020 this year. NTA may also publish NEET final answer keys along with NTA NEET exam results. NTA has already published the interim NEET response keys for all sections of the NTA NEET test and the candidates’ NEET OMR sheets.

The National Income and Eligibility Test (NEET) is conducted for admission to medical and related courses across the country. Based on the NEET 2020 results, students meeting the NEET 2020 cap will receive admission to 80,005 MBBS; 26,949 BDS; 52,720 AYUSH; and 525 BVSc and AH places in medical and dental schools in India. Up to fifteen AIIMS and two JIPMER institutes will also consider the NEET 2020 results to allow admission to their institutes.

NEET 2020 crop marks

Candidates meeting the required NEET 2020 cap will be eligible to participate in the NEET 2020 counseling process. Based on the minimum qualification criteria, candidates in the unreserved category (UR) must score at least 50 percentage points . While candidates under reserved categories must obtain NEET scores and a minimum of 40th percentile points.

NEET quota for all of India and state quota

NEET counseling below 15 percent of the total India quota (AIQ) includes places in public universities (except Jammu and Kashmir), central and considerate universities, places reserved for the wards of insured persons (quota of PI) at the State Employees Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical schools and places available at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune. While the remaining 85 percent of the seats are reserved for the state quota.

Eligible candidates may apply for state fee positions in government and private medical and dental colleges. The advice for these positions of 85 percent will be in charge of the respective state authorities. The Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) will conduct the All India Fee NEET Counseling (AIQ) 2020 on behalf of the Medical Advisory Committee (MCC) for admission to MBBS and BDS programs.
