A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Mundra Sunday in Gujarat for allegedly issuing threats against the youngest daughter of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, police said.
“The student from class 12 from Namna Kapaya village was detained for questioning in connection with a disgusting threatening message that was posted on the Instagram account of Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi Dhoni, a few days ago,” he told the journalists Kutch (West) Police Superintendent Saurabh Singh. .
The teenager “confessed” to posting the threatening message on his Instagram account after the 2020 IPL match between the KKR and CSK cricket teams, police said.

“We detained him for questioning after Ranchi police informed us that the defendant is a native of Mundra in the Kutch district.”
“We have confirmed that the child is the same one who posted the message. He will be handed over to Ranchi police since the FIR is in that city,” police said, adding that a Ranchi police team is likely to arrive. to Kutch tomorrow to take care of the teenager.
