University of Delhi Admissions: Best Courses Available for Students Who Scored 80 or Less

The University of Delhi (DU) announced its first cut list on October 10. The central university’s ever-widening cuts have peaked this year. For the top courses including BA (H) Economics, BA (H) Political Science and BA (H) Psychology have reached 100 percent. However, all is not lost for students who have scored in their 80s. Even below the first cutoff, there are colleges that are offering courses for 80-something scorers.

First, to understand one’s grades, it is important to know how the university calculates the percentage. The required minimum grade cutoffs are not the exact grades obtained in class 12, but are based on the best of four formulas. The best of four, as a general rule, would mean one language course and the highest three grades in class 12. But for each subject, there is a requirement of one or two subjects in the best of four. For example, for admission to BA (H) English, qualifications obtained in the English language are required. For topic-specific formulas, you can consult the brochure available at du.ac.in.
