Deoria:
A congressional worker in Uttar Pradesh was beaten at an internal party meeting after she objected to the nomination of Deoria’s party candidate, saying he is a defendant in a rape case. “On the one hand, our party leaders are fighting for justice for the Hathras woman, and on the other hand, a rapist is being given a match ticket. It is a wrong decision. It will defame the image of our party,” news The ANI agency quoted Tara Devi Yadav as saying.
Cell phone videos that are circulating widely show Tara Devi being beaten and pushed by a group of men. Eventually she was rescued by a couple of people who took her away.
In her complaint to the police, Tara Devi named Congressional District President Dharmendra Singh, Vice President Ajay Singh and two other people for the attack. She has also accused them of abusing and abusing her.
The City Council for the general elections is being held in Deoria, where the Congress appointed Mukund Bhaskar as a candidate for the seat that was left vacant after the death of BJP MLA Janmejay Singh.
There were allegations that Tara Devi, who attended the meeting with three other party workers, threw a bouquet of flowers at the party’s national secretary, Sachin Nayak. Soon a fight began during which the woman was beaten.
“We wanted the party to reconsider its decision,” said Tara Devi, quoted by ANI. “I didn’t hit Sachin Nayak. I just wanted to ask him why he (Mukund Bhaskar) was fined and then spanked.”

“How do all these sick-minded people get into politics …? Will they be aware,” Commission head Rekha Sharma tweeted.
