BARC scientist disappears in Mysuru; police launch search operations

Mysuru: Abhishek Reddy Gulla, 26, who works as a deputy science officer at the Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) in Mysuru, has been missing for 20 days and the police are conducting a search to locate him.

According to the police, Abhishek Reddy worked as a science officer at the research center for more than a year and was staying in a rented house in New Janata Colony, Yelwala, about 20 km from Mysuru city.

With Reddy missing the office for about 20 days and amid growing suspicion, BARC administrative officer TK Bose filed a complaint with Yelwala police on October 8.

In the police report, Reddy is said to have left the home in his two-wheeler (KA09 JA0013) and returned home. Reddy is 5 feet nine inches tall, has a wheat complexion and a bald head.

The police rule out the possibility of a kidnapping, but suspect that he may have disappeared due to depression. A search is underway to track it down.
