Congress has published a list of 30 party leaders who will lead their election campaign in Bihar as star activists for the first phase of the assembly election scheduled for October 28. Popular faces campaigning in the forced-to-vote state include party chief Sonia Gandhi, former president Rahul Gandhi, her sister Priyanka Gandhi and veteran Bollywood actor and party leader Shatrughan Sinha, according to the news agency. National congressional spokesperson Randeep Surjewala, actor Raj Babbar and top ministers from party-ruled states will also campaign for the Bihar assembly elections.
Elections for the 243-seat Bihar assembly will be held in three phases on October 28, November 3 and November 7, while the results will be announced on November 10.
