SRINAGAR: The Army has thwarted an attempt to push weapons and ammunition across Pakistan from across the line of control (LoC) in Keran sector from Jammu and Kashmir and recovered a cache, including four AK74 rifles, authorities said Saturday.

The troops immediately arrived at the scene and recovered four AK 74 rifles, eight magazines and 240 cartridges hidden in two bags. The area has been cordoned off and a search is underway, the official said.
He said it was another militant attempt to Pakistani-occupied Kashmir to smuggle war-like shops, but was successfully thwarted by the swift action of alert troops.
