DU 2020 admission: The University of Delhi has started to publish the first cut-off list for admissions to more than 70,000 undergraduate vacancies in around 65 universities affiliated with the university team. The varsity team will conduct the online admissions process this year. The varsity team had received 353,153 applications for around 70,000 undergraduate seats, the highest number of applications so far. Universities attributed the increase in the number of applications to a number of reasons, including the longer registration period, lack of clarity about entrance exams due to Covid-19, and increased numbers of students scoring above 90% in the CBSE Class 12 exams.
Last year, the first cut list was published on June 28. However, this year, in light of the coronavirus lockdown across the country and the subsequent delay in the board’s examinations and results, the academic session was delayed.
