Rahul posted a sarcastic tweet on Friday about Modi’s comments on wind turbines made a few days ago during an interaction with Henrik Andersen, director of Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas. “The real danger for India is not that our prime minister does not understand it. It is the fact that no one around him has the courage to tell him,” Rahul had tweeted and shared a video of the prime minister’s remarks.

Textiles Minister Smriti Irani said: “Ignorance is a blessing, but rarely in Indian politics has an individual made a conscious effort to maintain his ignorance.” He added that it seemed that “the real danger to Congress is blatantly blooming and no one seems to have the courage to tell Yuvraj otherwise.”
In the video, the prime minister said that if wind turbines could harvest moisture from the air, in addition to producing energy, they could help address the shortage of drinking water.
Railways Minister Piyush Goyal also confronted Rahul, saying: “Nobody around Rahul Gandhi has the courage to tell him they don’t understand. He mocks Prime Minister Modi’s ideas when the CEO of the world’s leading company supports”. He shared a CNN report according to which a company said it had successfully modified the traditional wind turbine design to create the WMS1000.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra tweeted: “Rahulji, tomorrow morning, please get up at night and read the two attached scientific papers. Although I am sure you will not understand the complexity of the subject.”
