No more posters outside the houses of covid-19 patients under home isolation in Delhi


NEW DELHI : There will be no sign outside the houses of COVID-19 patients in home isolation in the national capital, official sources said Thursday.

They said the measure is aimed at minimizing the stigma resulting from the posting of such posters on the entrance doors of such patients.

“There will be no posters outside the homes of COVID-19 patients in home isolation,” said a source.

According to the authorities, there are currently 12,890 COVID-19 patients in home isolation in Delhi.

It is suggested that those with mild or asymptomatic symptoms remain in home isolation as per the Delhi government policy. Until now, posters were posted at the entrance of their houses.

On Thursday, Delhi’s COVID-19 count crossed the three lakh mark with 2,726 new cases, while the death toll due to the disease rose to 5,653 with 37 deaths recorded in the past 24 hours.

On Wednesday, the case count stood at more than 2.98 lakh with 2,871 new cases, while the death toll was 5,616 with 35 new victims.
