The pandemic has affected many companies, especially the small ones that are in the hotel and restaurant sector. Most of the street food vendors who operate roadside restaurants have either closed or are running in hopes of earning a decent living again.

Recently, a widely shared video of a small restaurant run by an elderly couple in Delhi went viral, sparking a great deal of support. It all started with a post on Instagram and a late night tweet. The small restaurant called ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ in Malviya Nagar, New Delhi, run by an elderly couple Kanta Prasad and his wife Badami Devi, who have been selling home cooked food for the past 30 years.

With a steady stream of clients flocking to his ‘dhaba’, Prasad is honored by the support received.
